Remembering Rupert Lindo, a very dedicated, loving, devoted father and husband who always put his family and those he loved first. He was a charismatic, fun, loving person and believed in living life to the fullest. Today marks his departure from this land but there is no doubt his spirit lives on. We admire and appreciate the standards that you have set for which we have maintained. We will always love you. – From his wife Joan Lindo and his son Alexander Lindo

Valjour Royale Gets Upgraded

Our very own Vice President of the Valjour Royale estate, singer-songwriter, producer, audio engineer, IT specialist and electrical engineer Alexander Lindo is pleased to announce that our estate no longer relies on the grid for electricity and that we have successfully converted the entire property to solar power. In his words “As many of you know, my mother and I have fallen prey to demonic land developers among other devious and unscrupulous entities. We have been terrorized and threatened on several occasions. Throughout this bitter, evil, conspicuous time, I was also illegally deprived of electricity. After seeing the involvement of the power company with the syndicate, fighting to make my mother and I give up on our estate, I decided it best to setup our home, Valjour Royale with independent solar power. I am very proud of my achievement in successfully installing and maintaining the system. Most of all, it feels very liberating to have been able to put out my new album entitled “The Real Truth” along with a new music video for the first single entitled “One Leads” filmed and edited entirely on location using 100% pure renewable energy.” (Source: AlexanderLindo.com)

AWG Valentine’s Ball ’06

Fundraising chairperson Joan Lindo manages to attend the AWG Valentine’s Day Ball at the Hilton Hotel in New Kingston. She was the chief organizer, along with the help of Cathy Smithson (AWG President), Dawn Woodstock (Event Planner), her fundraising committee: Cathy Smithson, Jackie Dorsey, Tamara Hill, Trefina Aseidu, Brunnetta Matthews, Beverly and Hilda Kawass.

It is was a very unfortunate situation for Joan Lindo having done tedious and tremendous work to help to make this ball a success and due to the untimely death of her loving husband Rupert Lindo who passed days before. He offered tremendous support to her while he was alive. Joan was unable to give the vote of thanks to the sponsors and to her fundraising committee, however through strength, resilience, courage and the love for her son Alexander Lindo who was slated to perform at the ball with his band, she managed to pull it together and attend the event but only after he told her “I am doing this performance for my dad!” Alexander managed to perform as he said he would, many of the tables arranged by Joan Lindo, who also happened to be sponsors had given their condolences and said that they would not have attended the ball if she was not there.
